Happy Father's Day!

This is an old picture. I haven't been able to capture all three of these guys at the same time in years.
We've had a lovely morning, although it didn't run exactly as smoothly as I had hoped. Then again, what does? We made the standard Koskey Family Celebratory Brunch: challah bread custard french toast- I must admit, I outdid myself this time, it was the best I've made- bacon, and parmesan scrambled eggs, which have recently been promoted to the status of A Food Graham Will Consider Eating, so we'll be seeing a lot of that. Oh, and coffee of course, lots of it (for the grownups only despite Graham's repeated requests). Afterwards it was present time, and here's where things went a touch south.

Brendan had gotten The Geek Dad's Guide To Weekend Fun for Chris, which has all kinds of awesome nerdy stuff to do, including building robots, hacking games, stuff with legos, etc. One of the projects is building your own ray-gun (don't ask, I have no idea) so Brendan runs at Chris with the book and goes, "Dad, I got you a book about how we can build our own weapons!" Good job son, great parenting right here.
Graham and I, on the other hand, had sweetly picked out a book called Daddy Kisses, and the idea was for Graham to hand it to Chris and say in his adorable voice, "read this to me, Daddy!" We practiced. A lot. For days. We had a last minute successful dress rehearsal moments before showtime. Here's what happened:
Graham: "Hi Daddy". (holds book, extends arm maybe halfway and looks hesitant)
Chris: "What's this? Is this for me?"
Graham: "NO!" (grips book tightly and holds it to chest, assumes patented fierce face)
Chris: "Let's read this together Graham!" (gently takes book, is rewarded with bloodcurdling scream) "Daddy Kisses? That sounds great, let's read!"
Graham: "NOOOOOOOOO!" (Snatches book away from Chris) "IS MY BOOK!! I HAVE IT!! I DO IT!!!"
Chris: "But Graham, I'm going to read it to you!"
Graham: (holds it closer to his chest) "NOOO! I READ IT!!! I DO IT MYSELF!! I DO IT!!!!"
And, scene. At this point no one has been able to get Daddy Kisses away from Graham.

At the moment, Brendan and Chris have gone to a movie and Graham is asleep, so here is a gallery of some of my favorite Dads!
My Dad, demonstrating what a great Grandpa he is.
